Week 6 was filled with regular life... and a wedding!
Although I'm not in the photography business anymore, I take on a few projects for friends from time to time. I was happy to spend the day photographing Kathleen + Mike's wedding (see photos here). I found myself in a few shots from the wedding so I included them in my pages.
The rest was just life happening in the little moments...
This page included a photo of Mark and Tate from his "Doughnuts for Dad" day at preschool and Mark running with Tate and his friends after school. I made a card with the funny way Quinn says the president's name. I grabbed a couple of screenshots of them from the internet - the box of frozen Snickers ice cream bars that Quinn eats after school everyday and the Football Heroes app that the boys play against each other on their iPads. These are some things I think the boys would enjoy seeing in the pages many years from now. There are also a few black & white photos with little explanations of life in this moment.
I didn't take a lot of photos this week, so I filled this page with some photos that had a similar feel + color tone. I don't always make it into photos, but I try. I am here in reflections... I really like how this page turned out.
I added the text "love is in the air" to this photo with the A Beautiful Mess App on my iPhone, uploaded it onto my computer and inserted it into this page. I took this photo as I was leaving the wedding and felt it was a beautiful end to a beautiful day.
I noticed that Quinn only made it into one photo this week. That happens sometimes. I can't go back in time and take more photos. This is just the reality of what happens some weeks. Not everything is equal in life. (A lesson I'm trying to teach my kids these days...) These pages are the story of our everyday real life. We are all in the pages throughout the year, so it all balances out in the end. No worries.
